Franken Plaza and Monster Bash: This event is inextricably linked with Halloween but it’s a great time to get out and see some performances in one of the coolest city plazas. It goes on for three days at the end of the month so get your tickets now.
Millenium Park: Before the weather gets too cold go for a stroll in Millennium Park where you can check out some of the city’s best permanent art exhibits. The Cloud Sky Gate is one of the best and there are tons of sculptures, too.
Chicago Shakespeare Theater: Art comes in many forms and the Shakespeare theater is one of the best ways to soak up the culture in one of the more museum-heavy cities in the country.
