Though located in the Midwest, Chicago is a big city with lots of potential and thanks to television provider sites and Dish Network Comparison vendors, there are tons of channels offering programming on this art scene. There are all kinds of people, cultures, and opportunities in Chicago, and it is possible to further your dreams of becoming an artist. All it takes to break into the Chicago art scene is willingness and passion.

Start out by exploring what artists in Chicago have to offer. Visit boutiques, museums, exhibits and theaters. See which artists and areas of interest inspire you. This gives you a chance to get the layout of the Chicago art scene and allows you to introduce yourself to important artists in the area.

After experiencing the art environment, get started on your craft. If you want to act, consider getting involved with a respected group like Second City. If you want to paint or draw, consider taking classes at the Chicago Art Institute.

You do not have to fit in perfectly with fellow artists in Chicago. Having a different perspective can be refreshing, and the important thing is to create art you enjoy and feel passionate about. You can be unique, but make sure to check in with other artists to learn about current events in the Chicago art world, get feedback and make connections.

Chicago is known to many as The Windy City, however to me it is known for the art. I believe in bringing art to people of all ages and the fact that there is an art institute in Chicago that not only caters to the adults, but to the children too. There is an excellent family based program that actually meet for free in the REC. The children must be with an adult, but that is the whole point of the activity, to bring art to all ages.

There are three major family friendly exhibits showcased there, the first of which takes a different spin on the fairy tale story. Then you are invited to go through the arms and armors portraits of actual armory used. Lastly, is the Elizabeth Morse Touch Gallery that invites the sense of touch to be used.

Chicago is on the rise to being one of the most popular art holding cities in the nation. Many of the exhibits and collections are spoken of through the major art circuit already, and it is only a matter of time before they become more and more popular and sought out.

The Chicago History Museum boasts over 22 million artifacts that can fully encompass the visitor into not only Chicago’s rich cultural history but also the United States as a whole. The exhibits focus on what it was like living, working and governing the Chicago metropolitan area as well as the art, literature and notable individuals in Chicago’s history.
A new exhibit to the Chicago History Museum is not only educating visitors on the rich Chinese culture located in Chicago, it is also changing the way we experience museums. The exhibit is called My Chinatown and it focuses on real stories from those who still live in Chinatown today. It also highlights the plights of the Chinese immigrants who moved to Chicago in the late 1800s. What is fascinating about this new exhibit is it is the first multimedia exhibit to ever be featured at the Chicago History Museum! This exhibit will allow the visitor to really feel like they are part of this Chinese culture by allowing them to experience the sights and the sounds of Chicago’s Chinatown.
If you are interesting in visiting a museum filled with cultural history, the Chicago History Museum is the right place for you. From fashion exhibits, to exhibits featuring foreign cultures, the Chicago History Museum truly has something for everyone.

Art can speak to us in many ways. It can tell a story, make us recall events in our lives and make us feel like we are right there in the moment. This can be done in several different ways, through music, a painting or by watching a movie or TV program. Children can use their imagination just by watching different programs, listening to a musical or even by drawing a picture and making it come to life.
Sculptures are another way for a story to come to life. The creator envisions an idea and creates a lifelike sculpture that makes everyone understand what he or she is thinking about. Making a story come to life means using any type of material such as paper, paint or even film and show others the story or idea through the design or creation. Galleries will even feature current as well as up and coming artists in exhibits and give the viewer their interpretation that makes a story or idea “speak” to us.
Stories come to life in many different forms. Whatever the artist wants to convey can be done through art, film or a painting so see what story you want to bring to life.
